ESPE 2026: Conference in Paris
The 2026 meeting of ESPE took place at the American University of Paris on June 4–5, 2026. The seminar explored the theme “Fragile Futures: Technology, Responsibility and the Idea of Education”.
In an era increasingly shaped by rapid technological change, the seminar examined how new technologies—particularly artificial intelligence—transform educational practices, relationships, and institutions. Contributions were invited that engage with the ethical, political, and philosophical questions arising from these developments, including issues of responsibility, educational justice, moral and democratic education, and the changing role of teachers and learners in a world increasingly dominated by new technologies.
